Spanish production is based on a book
Directed and written by Domingo González, the film My Fault was released in June 2023 and follows the tumultuous and forbidden love story between Noah and Nick, as well as the adventures and rebellions of these free-spirited young individuals.
With a Spanish production, the plot is an adaptation of the book of the same name by author Mercedes Ron, who gained significant popularity for her works originally published on Wattpad, also known as a great place for reading famous and beloved fanfics.
Currently available for streaming in the Amazon Prime Video catalog, My Fault divided audience opinions upon its release and is now gearing up for the promised release of the second and third volumes.

Fearless and courageous, Noah is a strong-willed teenager who carries silent traumas from a complicated past. Nick, on the other hand, is a free-spirited and rebellious young man who gets involved with the wrong crowd but deep down has a kind and noble heart.
With a well-established routine in the city where she lives, Noah is forced to leave everything behind when her mother decides to remarry. The girl’s new reality involves moving to her stepfather’s mansion, located in another city, and she then has to abandon everything she knows and loves, including school, friends, and her boyfriend.
Upset and sad about having to change her life so abruptly, Noah also discovers that she will have to share the new house with Nick, the stepbrother she didn’t even know existed. Their first meeting is intense and already indicates how their relationship will be marked.
Although at first, they believe they are completely different, which causes even more friction between them, Noah and Nick soon discover they have much more in common than they imagined.
Full of internal conflicts and marked by their rebellious personalities, they both share the same love for cars and racing, which immediately puts them in dangerous situations, jeopardizing their lives and safety.
Amid these discoveries, the young couple experiences a passionate and forbidden romance, as their parents are about to marry and want to build a family. Additionally, Noah begins to be pursued by a ghost from her past: her father, a talented ex-racer who is released from prison with an extreme thirst for revenge.
Composed mainly of Spanish actors, the cast of My Fault 2 includes names such as Fran Berenguer (The Artists: First Strokes), Marta Hazas (Little Coincidences), Iván Sánchez (The Queen of the South), Iván Massagué (The Platform), Víctor Varona (Summer Stories), Eve Ryan (Scandal: A Story of Obsession), Eva Ruiz, among others.
My Fault 2 release date
Shortly after its release, the film My Fault had its sequel confirmed due to the tremendous success it achieved on social media and among loyal Wattpad readers.
The confirmation came from Amazon Prime Video, which also announced that the production reached the Top 10 most-watched titles in over 190 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, Argentina, France, and Brazil.
Furthermore, My Fault also secured its legacy as the most-watched non-English language original, that is, in Spanish, in the platform’s history. To the delight of fans, two new films are guaranteed to be released: Your Fault and Our Fault.
The plot promises to continue following the romance between the step-siblings Noah and Nick. Although the family tried to intervene, the two seemed confident in their intense feelings, but the future may not be as they imagined.
Between Nick’s new job, Noah’s entry into college, the return of an ex-girlfriend seeking revenge, and the story of Nick’s mother being further explored, their relationship will be put to the test in the sequel Your Fault.
Filming for My Fault 2 began on August 30, 2023. The release date is set to December 2024. Directed by Domingo González, the film will be produced by Pokeepsie Films and will feature Álex de la Iglesia and Carolina Bang as producers.
The faces and names confirmed for the new film include actors Goya Toledo (Amores Perros), Gabriela Andrada (The Protected DNA), Álex Béjar (At the Bottom There Is Room), Javier Morgade (Missing), Felipe Londoño (Fake Profile), and Fran Morcillo (Money Heist).
