Robert Pattinson plays the new version of the DC hero

There are new movies of Batman to come in the future. Starring Robert Pattinson, But you know which other actors have played the Dark Knight?

Did you know that Bruce Wayne has been portrayed by more actors than any other superhero in the story of cinema? Most have appeared in just one movie. But after Batman: The Dark Knight Rises, Christian Bale became the first man to play Bruce Wayne more than twice on the big screen.

Over the years, Batman has featured several actors, check them out:

Michael Keaton

Adam West had already won the role of Batman when Michael Keaton was cast in Tim Burton’s 1989 film of the hero.

The choice of Keaton caused so much controversy that thousands of letters of protest were sent to the Warner Bros. offices.

In the sequel, Batman Returns, in 1992, Keaton again received positive reviews. Now the actor is preparing to return to the role in an alternative reality in the new Flash movie.

Val Kilmer

When the Batman franchise was handed over to director Joel Schumacher, Keaton decided not to return. Daniel Day-Lewis and Johnny Depp were considered, but the role ended up with Val Kilmer. He is now considered the most forgettable of modern Batmen.

George Clooney

George Clooney’s film career was just taking off when he was cast in 1997’s Batman & Robin. But far from the success he had hoped for, the film was a disaster with audiences and critics.

Christian Bale

Christopher Nolan changed Bruce Wayne’s tragic fate.

The director of The Origin managed to reinvent the franchise, finally making the Dark Knight dark and the hero of Gotham. Among the first candidates for the role of Bruce Wayne were Jake Gyllenhaal, Joshua Jackson, and Cillian Murphy.

But Nolan ended up choosing Christian Bale, explaining that “he had exactly the balance of darkness and light that I was looking for.”

Ben Affleck

The casting of Ben Affleck for Batman v Superman: The Origin of Justice, by director Zack Snyder, didn’t please fans from the start. Affleck had just won the Oscar for Best Picture for his work in Argo.

But the fact that he had appeared in the 2003 Daredevil movie probably caused a public backlash. In the end, his version of The Dark Knight still causes controversy. He also appeared as a character in Justice League.

Robert Pattinson

Matt Reeves’ film will cast Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne’s hero. Known for his role as Edward in the Twilight saga, or as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Pattinson has since made a name for himself with roles in independent films such as Lighthouse.

Pattinson will star in a more personal take on Batman, according to Reeves, who told THR that “it’s a Batman noir tale based on point of view”. The film also features the appearance of Catwoman/Selina Kyle (Zoë Kravitz), as well as the villainous Penguin (Colin Farrell).

Batman on TV

One of the best representations of Batman on TV is in the 2014 series, Gotham. Adam West has been very successful in the past but with a comic version of the character.
